Summary

English: Statue of Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States, at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. The statue was carved by Daniel Chester French of white marble and unveiled in 1922. Above the statue is the inscription written by Royal Cortissoz which reads, "In this temple, as in the hearts of the people for whom he saved the Union, the memory of Abraham Lincoln is enshrined forever." This photo was taken during a snow storm. |
