LILYAN TASHMAN, like so many children of foreign parents, was born in that great melting pot, New York City, October 23, 1899. She went to High School in Brooklyn, but algebra proved dull and Mr. Ziegfeld's Follies seemed promising. Lilyan left school and the Follies became a little more glorious. Following other Broadway engagements came an offer to go into pictures. In Hollywood she acquired fame and a husband, namely Edmund Lowe. She has blue eyes and blonde hair, is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 119 pounds.
