| Description |
English: Born in Addis Ababa on December 21, 1970; Lij Haile-Gebrel is the son of a prominent Lawyer, Ato Ayele Gizaw Kinfe (of the Aristocratic Clan of Kemeroch in Merabete) and Emebet-Hoy Atsede Tadesse Gebrehiwot. His mother was close relative of Emperor Haile-Selassie I and Empress Menen since she was the granddaughter of Ras Gebrehiwot Mikael (son of Negus Mikael of Wollo) and Emebet-Hoy Banchiwedya Abeto (granddaughter of Negus Sahle-Seilassie of Showa). Lij Haile-Gebrel was thus born into the highest levels of Ethiopian society and is a member of the extended Imperial Dynasty. He is married to Woyzero Amsale W/Yohannes (great granddaughter of Dejazmach Adgeh of Gonder) and they have two daughters Woyzerit (Lady) Atsede and Woyzerit (Lady) Menabe. Lij Haile-Gebrel has a BS Degree in Business Administration and Economics from Elon University, North Carolina; he has attended an MBA program at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland; and he has various certificates and diploma from the USA and Sweden. Currently, he is the Managing Partner of a Swedish software company AARO SYSTEMS AB in East Africa region based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. |
