| Description |
English: Lighthouse and Beachy Head Trying to give some kind of scale to the lighthouse which was opened in 1902 to replace the former Belle Tout lighthouse on the cliffs above. Taken from the rocky beach below at low tide. It is possible to walk below the cliffs from Birling Gap to Cow Gap, it takes about three hours and involves much scrambling around on the rocks and ledges. |
