English: Lieutenant General Sir Frederick William Stopford was a British Army officer, best remembered for commanding the landing at Suvla Bay in August 1915, during the Gallipoli Campaign.
This image comes from the 7 January 1916 issue of The Daily Sketch. Artefacts of image editing exist because copyrighted watermarks had to be removed from the image with an image editor. The source image, however, is still in the Public Domain.The Daily Sketch did not credit the original image author. Therefore, it is not possible to determine who took the image, and PD-UK-unknown thus applies.
