English: Lichfield Trent Valley 1st railway station (site), Staffordshire Opened in 1847 by the London & North Western Railway on the line from Rugby to Stafford, this station closed in 1871 when it was replaced by the current station some 200m behind the camera position. The platforms were either side of the two tracks immediately below the camera position with the main building to the far left of the image. This existed into the 1960s but nothing now remains. |
