Description

Porte d'entrée de l'hôtel Majestic au moment de Noël

L'Hôtel Majestic est un palace édifié en 1925 à l'époque coloniale française. Son architecture initiale était dans le style des palaces de la Côte d'Azur mais le bâtiment a été totalement remanié à plusieurs reprises à l'issue des guerres qu'a connues le Vietnam et des changements de propriétaire qui se sont produits. Certains décors sont encore dans un style inspiré par l'art déco.

Le palace est situé sur les bords du fleuve Saigon dans un quartier très animé, à l'extrémité de la rue Dong Khoi (ancienne rue Catinat). Plusieurs terrasses offrent une vue panoramique sur le fleuve.
