English: Yesterbus bus 6169 (reg. CKB 166X), a 1982 Leyland National 2, pictured at the 2009 Whitley Bay Bus Rally operating a free bus service from Tynemouth to Whitley Bay via the town centre. It was new to Merseyside PTE in May 1982, receiving fleet number 6169. The Merseyside PTE bus operations were privatised at the start of 1993 in a management / employee buyout, becoming Merseyside Transport Ltd (MTL), which used the fleetname Merseybus. The bus retained its fleet number of 6169 with the new company. In May 2002 the bus was sold to Specialised Transport Training, Gilmoss. In 2006 the bus was purchased for preservation by Steve Foster of Darlington, the current owner.
