English: Team leaders from Bravo Company, 1-158th Infantry Battalion with the Arizona National Guard, gather at a rally point to discuss their next movement to successfully infiltrate an enemy bunker during an exercise here, Nov. 19. The training consisted of an air assault mission where the soldiers egress from a UH-60 Black Hawk, moving on foot to engage with an enemy target and clear a building suspected of housing weapons and contraband. “It’s important that everyone is aware of their roles,” said Pvt. Andrew Wiemers, a mortarman with B Company, 1-158th Inf. Bn. “Some of us are new and this training is a great opportunity for us to get a feel for how our deployment in Afghanistan will be.” The battalion is preparing for their second deployment to Afghanistan in 2013. |
