Description

Maisons sur pilotis et bateaux de transport

Sa Dec est une petite bourgade au bord du Mékong possédant quelques belles maisons et des bâtiments publics (marché, école,..) datant de l'époque coloniale. On y trouve aussi des temples chinois.

Elle était autrefois appelée "le jardin de la Cochinchine" en raison du nombre d'arbres qui existaient dans cette région.

La ville de Sa Dec est connue dans le monde grâce à l'oeuvre de Marguerite Duras, en particulier à son roman "l'Amant" qui a reçu le Prix Goncourt en 1984 et dont un film a été tiré.
