Deutsch: Südsüdwestansicht des Werksgeländes der Lenzing AG in der oberösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Lenzing.
Die Geschichte des Unternehmens kann man bis etwa ins Jahr 1890 zurückverfolgen, als der Ternitzer Fabrikant Emil Hamburger die „Starlingermühle“ in Lenzing ersteigerte und darin eine Zellstoff- und Papierfabrik errichtete; [1]. Nachdem 1984 eine Namensänderung von „Chemiefaser Lenzing“ auf „Lenzing AG“ erfolgte, fand 1985 der Börsengang der Lenzing Aktien an der Wiener Börse statt. Mehrheitseigentümer ist die B&C Privatstiftung, die im Dezember 2000 durch die Bank Austria und die Creditanstalt gegründet wurdeː [2], [3].
