Description Zu den bekanntesten Werken des Bildhauers Peter Lenk gehören die »Imperia« an der Hafeneinfahrt von Konstanz, die »Magische Säule« auf der Mole in Meersburg, die »Schwabenkinder« am ehem. Gasthaus »Krone« in Ravensburg und eben dieser »Martin-Walser-Brunnen« in Überlingen am Landungsplatz. Den in Überlingen heimischen Dichter Martin Walser hatte Lenk auf einem Pferd sitzend, umgeben von alten nackten Meerjungfrauen, dargestellt. Dieses Objekt hatte für viel Wirbel in der Stadt gesorgt.
