[edit]DescriptionLego Space - Set 6870 Space Probe Launcher (7465209972).jpg |
Set 6870, released in 1981 and consisting of 60 pieces, depicts a one-seat space probe as well as a carrier vehicle for it. A red astronaut minifigure drives the carrier vehicle to a desired location, then hops into the space probe and launches. This set, part of Lego's highly desirable Space collection, was obtained via an eBay auction in June 2012. It is in generally good shape, even though the minifigure's face needed a bit of scrubbing. The carrier vehicle is being assembled. A hinged hitch connects the cab to the trailer. The trailer's provision for the probe, consisting of studless tiles, is in place. |
