[edit]DescriptionLeeds Town Hall 27 July 2019 (2).JPG |
The courtroom in the Town Hall, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Designed by Cuthbert Brodrick, built 1853-1858. The courtroom retains the original wooden seating. The room is mostly as it was when built, apart from lighting, heating, and wall-paint. It is no longer used for legal cases, but has been kept for historical value and other purposes. Showing view from one end of the ladies' gallery, towards the bench, and the witness stand which can just be seen behind the dock rail. On the right is the door from which the judge enters. |
