The Leeds stag beetles (Lucanus cervus), mounted by taxidermist James Dickinson circa 2008. This mount is a mini panorama of two male stag beetles fighting over a female, all set on scraps of wood. It is permanently displayed under a small glass dome in Leeds City Museum, Leeds, North Yorkshire, England. Note: the dome reflects various spotlights, and this affects the photography from all angles. |
