Lead

Shot. Five cast lead shot (a-e), all with mould line and scars where they have been snipped from a sprue. These shot were probably used in a fowling piece, and (a)-(d) were possibly made for and used with the same gun. Shot (e) is smaller, and is also flattened by impact. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1700-1800.

Dimensions and Weights: a) Diameter 12.3mm, Weight 10.92gms; b) Diameter 12.6mm, Weight 12.10gms; c) Diameter 12.3mm, Weight 10.30gms; d) Diameter 12.7mm, Weight: 11.23gms; e) Diameter 11mm, Weight 4.98gms.
