Le « Max Havelaar » est un voilier se course Open 60 (60 pieds open) de classe IMOCA construit en 1991. De 1992 à 2005, il a été utilisé lors de plusieurs courses à la voile : Québec - Saint-Malo, Tour des Îles Britanniques (1993, 1er), Vendée-Globe (2000 et 2004, 10ème et 14ème), Route du Rhum, Transat Jacques-Vabre, Défi Atlantique Bahia-La Rochelle, Fasnet Race. En 2008 et 2010, il a servi de bateau accompagnateur et d’ assistance dans plusieurs courses à la voile. Ce bateau a changé 8 fois de nom. Lancé en 1991 sous le nom d’ « Enif ». A La Rochelle, le « Max Havelaar » a été disponible en 2009 et 2010, à la location pour des croisières et des sorties en mer à la journée. La société « Tout le Monde à l’ Eau » qui avait été créée pour ces activités, a fait faillite en 2010. Fin 2011, le « Max Havelaar était toujours à vendre aux enchères pour 30000 euros. Skippers principaux : Didier Monduteguy, Benoît Parnaudeau et Antoine Vialle. Caractéristiques techniques : monocoque de course de 60 pieds, longueur 18,28 mètres, largeur 4,20 mètres, tirant d'eau 4,30 mètres, mât 22,50 mètres, déplacement 10,5 tonnes (bateau lourd), voilure au près 220 m², voilure au portant 450 m², architecte Morisson.
