Intérieur du pavillon national de l'Allemagne avec les passerelles de l'acqua alta Exposition autour des 3 R : Reduce / Reuse / Recycle Valoriser ce qui existe en Allemagne doit être le premier objectif à atteindre en architecture. C'est une source d'inspiration et de motivation pour le développement urbain. La démarche privilégiée est de tirer parti des ressources architecturales et de prendre de nouvelles orientations à partir de l'existant dans un pays comme l'Allemagne dont la population est vieillissante. Réduire / Réutiliser / Recycler sont les nouveaux mots d'ordre. Le pavillon, que l'on parcourt symboliquement sur des passerelles utilisées à Venise au moment de l'acqua alta, présente de manière sommaire quelques projets représentatifs de cette approche des 3R.
