| Description |
English: Lava Outcrop With the eye of faith, you can make out a sort of vertical fabric in this cliff face which may approximate to columnar jointing like that on the island of Staffa. The rock is andesitic rather than basaltic, however, and columns form less readily in andesite.
This cliff is located on the east coast of Scotland, between Montrose and Arbroath. |
