Late medieval to post-medieval double-looped buckle.
Description
English: A late medieval to early post-medieval copper-alloy buckle. Double-looped buckle of probable mid 15th to late 16th century AD date. Both sides of the buckle are roughly D-shaped (and slightly uneven) and have a convex upper surface with moulded rope-pattern decoration. The buckle is not flat, but slightly angled; central, rectangular-sectioned bar. The underside of the buckle is flat and plain. The pin is missing. It measures 29.7mm long by 15.8mm wide and 3.3mm thick. It weighs 4.16g.
