Description
English: Late Saxon copper alloy harness link, worn and bent rectangular-sectioned bar, lozengiform terminals, both broken with remains of knops at angles and oval perforation, expanded oval central section with elaborate engraved geometric pattern containing niello, now standing proud of corroded surface. >72 (approximately 88mm reconstructed) x 24mm. Cited by Williams (2007, 4). 11th century.
