English: The Last Address Sign is a commemorative plaque that is installed on the last known residential address of victims of the Soviet Union's Communist regime.
The memorial sign is a small, 11x19 cm stainless steel plaque that contains information about the repressed person. This information usually contains his or her name, profession, date of birth, date of arrest, date of death, and date of exoneration. Русский: Мемориальный знак «Последний адрес» представляет собой пластину из нержавеющей стали размером 11 на 19 см, на которую наносятся сведения о репрессированном при советской власти человеке: его имя, профессия, а также даты рождения, ареста, дата и причина гибели (расстрелян или умер в лагере) и дата реабилитации. Мемориальный знак устанавливается на фасаде дома, адрес которого стал для этого человека последним. |

Englishː According to the Memorial Society, 6 residents of Grokholsky Lane in Moscow were shot by NKVD executioners. All of them were rehabilitated "for lack of corpus delicti".
On 30 April 2017, a memorial plaque to one of them was placed on house #13: "The Last Address" of laundry ironer Wang-Xi-Siang.
- Wang-Si-Siang was born in 1888, China, Shandong; Chinese; illiterate; b/p; Laundry No. 5: ironer. Address: 13 Grokholsky per., 13, square 11, Moscow.
Arrested on 15 March 1938.
Sentenced: by the Commission of the USSR NKVD and the USSR Prosecutor on 2 September 1938 on charges of espionage activity.
Shot on 10 September 1938. Place of burial - Moscow region, Butovo.
Rehabilitated in November 1989.

Mark Grinberg, who applied for the memorial sign, said:
"There were no serious victims among my closest relatives, so I decided to choose a repressed person from the house next door to the one I used to live in with my parents before 1975 (and which had not yet been built under Stalin). That was house 13.
I remembered it because I often went past it to the bakery and to the "corner" shop where my mother sent me.
In the Memorial database, I saw the name of Wang Xi Xiang, who lived in this house, and I thought: here is a man no one will remember, so I chose him...".

Арестован 15 марта 1938 г.
Приговорен: Комиссией НКВД СССР и прокурора СССР 2 сентября 1938 г. по обвинению в шпионской деятельности.
Расстрелян 10 сентября 1938 г. Место захоронения - Московская обл., Бутово.
Реабилитирован в ноябре 1989 г.

«Среди моих ближайших родственников не было пострадавших всерьез, и я решил выбрать репрессированного из дома по соседству с тем, в котором жил когда-то, до 1975 г., с родителями (и который при Сталине еще не был построен).
Таким оказался дом 13. Я его помнил, потому что часто ходил мимо него в булочную и в «угловой» магазин, куда меня посылала мама.
В базе данных «Мемориала» я увидел имя Ван Си Сяна, жившего в этом доме, подумал: вот человек, о котором никто не вспомнит, и выбрал его...»
