[edit]DescriptionLascar Gangajalis - The biggest silver objects of the world (4499234941).jpg | Gangajalis are the largest silver objects in the world as per the entry in the Guinnes Book of World Records. They were made in the Mistry Khana by two silversmiths. Each jar was made out of 14000 Jhar Sgahi (Jaipur coins) silver coins which were issurd from the Kapatdwara treasure of Jaipur State in 1894. They were melted into sheets and shaped as the jars. No shouldering was done. Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II took these Jars, fillefd with Gangajal (Ganges water) on his voyage to England to attend the coronation ceremony of Edward VII in 1902 |
