Description
English: Photo of a large still empty field which is prepared in the spring of 2012 and seeded. With clear tracks of the tractor. This field is unusual large for the region of Midden-Drenthe, the Netherlands. On the horizon lies the village Smilde.

The soil of the field is former peat soil, but cultivated into farmland since circa 1930. It is good ground for crop as well as for grass. They change every year the plant species on the field because of keeping the nutritional power.
