Summary
[edit]DescriptionLarge crowds watching along the way (6001284056).jpg |
Stacked up deep at some cross streets. According to an estimate I heard on CBC Radio, possibly 750,000 showed up? Wow! Or was that also counting people living in downtown Vancouver? I heard that on a traffic report. The city was bustling. Conspicuously absent was the premier of British Columbia. As I biked home, some radio talk shows were abuzz about the premier's absence. Supposedly, it wasn't a snub, just travel plans. Gay Pride is such an accepted thing in Vancouver that just about everyone of importance seems to make a showing. |
