Walter C. Baker enlisted September 5, 1918, in the 112thAmbulance Corps, 28th Division U. S. A. After being trainedat Camp Greenleaf, Ga., he spent six months and three daysoverseas, and was discharged May 21, 1919. 31
Text Appearing After Image:
William H. Biester, Jr., enlisted in Philadelphia, June 28,1917, in Company 1, 103rd Engineers, 28th Division, U. S. A.December 5, 1918, he was transferred to the headquartersdetachment. He was encamped at Mt. Gretna, Pa., from August13 to August 20, 1917, and at Camp Hancock, August 22, 1917,until May 11, 1918. He left New York May 18, 1918; reachedLiverpool, England, May 31; Calais, France, June 1, 1918. Hewas rated master engineer, junior grade. Engineer Biester wasin the following engagements: Champagne-Marne, Aisne-Marne, Fismes Sector, Oise-Aisne, Meuse-Argonne, ThiaucourtSector. He left St. Nazairre, France, April 20, 1919, and arrived inNew York April 30, 1919. 32
