Description

Das Wehr wurde vermutlich um 1364 gebaut, um das Lechwasser in den Mühlbach zu leiten. In den neunziger Jahren wurde es erneuert.

Im Mittelalter wurde die Siedlung um 1135 als Phetine erstmalig erwähnt. 1158 ließ Heinrich der Löwe nahe dieser Siedlung eine Brücke über den Lech bauen. Zum Schutze dieser Brücke, die neue Salzstrasse führte darüber errichtete er eine Burganlage, das 'Castum Landespurch'. Um diese Anlage herum entwickelte sich eine Siedlung die erst Landesperch, später Landsberg hieß.
