Description

When about to land on Runway 09 Right, this view appeared and I quickly took the photo.

Almost all the aircraft at this end of the airport belong to British Airways. Parts of Terminal 5A and 5B are just visible.

It's at times like this that I was glad I was using my 45 year old manual focus Nikkor lens (set at infinity) - if I had had to wait for a focus whilst moving so fast I may well have missed the shot. My only regret is that I should have pre-set a higher ISO which would have given me a faster shutter speed. As it is the pic is not quite as sharp as I would have preferred.
