| Description |
English: Lake on Llantysilio Mountain The road takes a sharp curve to the left here to skirt this small lake high up on the mountain. The 1879 map doesn't indicate a lake, but it does show the road curving in the same way, so it has probably always been wet. The foolhardy or those with offroad vehicles seem to go straight across the lake, cutting off the corner completely. In the centre of the photo, on the far side of the lake next to the road, is a grey stone. This has the number 24 carved into it, but I have no idea what that signifies. It is not recorded on any map I have seen. See 356177 |
