[edit]DescriptionLake Mirror Tower Apartments (formerly the New Florida Hotel) 02.jpg |
English: The New Florida Hotel was designed for Thomas Hendrix by the Avery and Round architectural firm. The hotel opened in September 1926 but struggled due to the collapse of the Florida land boom followed by the Great Depression, and it closed in late 1926. It reopened in 1935, was converted into a senior residence hotel in 1962, renamed the Regency Tower in 1980, and finally closed in 1996.
The City of Lakeland renovated the building as the Lake Mirror Tower in 2005 with 76 apartments. Located at: 130 S Massachusetts Ave, Lakeland, Florida 33801 Source: https://cdm15809.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p15809coll55 |
