English: Lady Orchid/Monkey Orchid hybrid (Orchis purpurea x simia) Seen here at Hartslock, a Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust downland nature reserve above Goring at the point where the Chilterns meet the River Thames. This particular hybrid, between the Lady Orchid (see 1314537) and Monkey Orchid (see 1314523), both of which grow on this reserve, is unique to this site, having first flowered in 2006. For comparison between the hybrid and the Lady Orchid, see 1314589. |
