Summary

[edit]
Description Lackland Station. This holds special significance for me, because my dad used to take me down here to watch trains when I was very young, in the early to mid 1950s. At that time it was a country depot, out in the sticks. When I took this picture - 1988 - it was in suburbia, in an industrial park. A subsequent visit in the mid 1990s found the building turned into an aluminum sided box with no character. This was on the Rock Island Railroad line between St. Louis and Kansas City.
