Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Trichonephila clavipes umumnya dikenal sebagai laba-laba penenun jaring-jaring sutra emas (golden silk orb-weaver atau golden silk spider) adalah spesies laba-laba penenun bola yang mendiami hutan dan kawasan berhutan. T. clavipes betina membangun jaring bundar yang besar dan tidak simetris (berbentuk "bola"). Jaring utama betina dewasa dapat berdiameter 1–2 meter, belum termasuk filamen utama yang mengikat jaring di antara pepohonan; filamen jangkar seperti itu bisa sepanjang 2-3 meter. Pigmen kuning pada sutra memberikan kilau keemasan yang kaya dalam pencahayaan yang sesuai.
