Décor de la villa Bianca ou villa Quarti La villa a été conçue par l'architecte Rubens Corrado vers 1909 pour Luigi Quarti Elle est dans le style gothique de la fin du XVème siècle La villa est orientée vers la lagune www2.comune.venezia.it/lidoliberty/scheda/036.htm ___________ Le Lido de Venise est une bande étroite de terre sablonneuse de 12 Km de long qui sépare la lagune de Venise de la mer Adriatique. Au 19ème siècle, le Lido commence à être fréquenté pour les bains de mer en raison de la beauté de ses plages. Le Grand Hôtel des Bains est ouvert en 1900 (il est actuellement en rénovation) et accueille des clients illustres (écrivains, aristocrates, artistes,..) comme le Grand Hôtel Excelsior, construit dans le style néo-mauresque, ouvert à proximité quelques années plus tard, en 1908. A la demande de Mussolini, le Palais du cinéma ne sera construit dans le style art déco qu'en 1937 à coté de l'Excelsior pour que le festival (Mostra) puisse s'y dérouler dans de bonnes conditions. Concentrées autour de ces palaces, de luxueuses maisons sont édifiées à partir du début du siècle dernier, dans des styles influencés par l'art nouveau (appelé style Liberty en Italie), ou un peu plus tard par l'art déco, mais aussi par l'art byzantin, l'art médiéval, l'art de la Renaissance italienne, l'art oriental ou même par l'art du nord de l'Europe. En raison de la proximité de Venise, les formes et décors vénitiens constituent d'importantes sources d'inspiration des architectes. Il en résulte un ensemble de maisons et d'immeubles dans le style éclectique, avec des éléments de style Liberty, qui ne se rencontre que dans cette région de l'Italie.
