Français : Surnommé Une ville deux gare, Thiès occupe une place très importante dans l’histoire du chemin de fer au Sénégal par le biais des deux anciens réseaux ferroviaire à savoir: Dakar Bamako et Dakar Saint louis (ancien capital du Sénégal). Vu de son importance dans l’activité commerciale, La gare de Thiès a toujours contribué au développement économique et commercial du Sénégal effectivement par sa capacité d’accueillir les trains express, locomotives et RAM trains et la capacité de transporter les personnes et des biens a une très grande capacité par rapport aux autres moyen de transport existant à savoir camions, bus et auto particulier.
