Español: Muerte de Gil de Ronza, hacia 1522-1525. Madera policromada en el Museo Nacional de Escultura, fotografiado en Valladolid en la Exposición "Tiempos Modernos" del Museo.
Esta minuciosa representación de la Muerte como un esqueleto descarnado fue elogiada por Palomino en siglo XVIII, quien decía que “aun tocándola, se duda si es natural”. Atríbuida a Gaspar Becerra, recientemente se ha descubierto la autoría de Gil de Ronza, quien la talló en Zamora entre 1522 y 1525 para la capilla funeraria de Vázquez de Cepeda en el Convento de San Francisco. |
