Description
English: (Only) from 1862 the factory traded as "Rheinische Ultramarin - Fabrik von Dr. C. Leverkus, Leverkusen bei Coeln a/Rhein". - Carl Leverkus, * 5. 11.1804 in Wermelskirchen, + 1.2.1889 in Leverkusen, German pharmacist and chemical entrepreneur. – He began with the „Che­mi­sche Fa­brik Dr. Carl Le­ver­kus" 1834 in Wermelskirchen (see the smaller lithograph).
Deutsch: (Erst) ab 1862 firmierte die Fabrik als „Rheinische Ultramarin – Fabrik von Dr. C. Leverkus, Leverkusen bei Coeln a/Rhein". – Carl Leverkus, * 5. 11.1804 in Wermelskirchen, + 1.2.1889 in Leverkusen, deutscher Apotheker und Chemieunternehmer. – Er begann zuerst die „Che­mi­sche Fa­brik Dr. Carl Le­ver­kus" 1834 in Wermelskirchen (siehe hier die kleinere Lithographie).
