Deutsch: Das Hospital St. Katharina wurde 1337 durch Thomas Kürschner eröffnet. Das heutige Gebäude mit eingebauter Kirche stammt aus der ersten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts. Die Spittalkirche wurde 1729 unter dem Kurfürsten Lothar Franz von Schönborn zu Mainz und Fürstbischof zu Bamberg neu erbaut, der die Einweihung nicht mehr erlebte. Sein kurfürstliches Wappen ziert heute noch das Kirchenportal. |
