Nederlands: Op de toenmalige schietbaan stonden schermen op vaste afstanden. Deze schermen waren bedoeld om kogels op te vangen. De Duitse bezetters gebruiken deze schermen door de personen die geëxecuteerd werden ervoor te zetten.
De leden van de schietvereniging doen er alles aan om deze 'smet' op het blazoen waar de vereniging niets aan kon doen, nooit te vergeten en de gevallenen te eren. Elk jaar op 4 mei wordt deze periode uit de geschiedenis eervol herdacht.
