Description
Deutsch: Die Fotografie entstand an der belgischen Küste, in der Nähe des Ortes Koksijde. Sie zeigt die Darstellung eines historischen Krabbenfischers bei seiner harten Arbeit.

Die Fischer zogen in vergangenen Zeiten mithilfe ihrer schweren Kaltblutpferde die Netze entlang des Strandes durch das Wasser und fingen so die Krabben, die dann in Körben, beidseitig auf den Pferderücken hängend, zu den Märkten oder zur Verarbeitung abtransportiert wurden.

Diese uralte Fischereitechnik wird heute noch regelmäßig von Fischern und Einheimischen für die Besucher und Urlauber praktiziert, um die Erinnerung daran wachzuhalten.
