Description
English: Rhynchostylis retusa (Kopou Phool in Assamese ), a very rare orchid that blooms mostly in India's North East, once a year during April. For the people of Assam this flower marks the festive season of Bihu, with girls putting up this flower in their buns or khupa (in Assamese), while performing the Bihu Dance.
