Über 250 Vertreterinnen und Vertreter von Kommunen, Kreisverwaltungen und kommunalen Spitzenverbänden bewerten heute (11.12.2013) in Wuppertal Maßnahmenvorschläge für den Klimaschutzplan NRW und diskutieren die Umsetzung vor Ort. Der "Kommunalkongress Klimaschutzplan NRW" von EnergieAgentur.NRW und NRW-Klimaschutzministerium ist ein weiterer Mosaikstein des breit angelegten Dialog- und Beteiligungsverfahrens zur Erarbeitung des Klimaschutzplans. Bei der Anpassung an die Folgen des Klimawandels in NRW spielen die Städte und Gemeinden eine Schlüsselrolle. Ihr Engagement sei schon jetzt vorbildlich, betonte NRW-Klimaschutzminister Remmel: Rund 300 NRW-Kommunen bilanzierten ihre CO2-Emissionen, über 115 Kommunen aus Nordrhein-Westfalen nehmen am European Energy Award teil und über 120 Städte und Gemeinden haben bereits Klimaschutzkonzepte aufgelegt. |
