Description
Français : Enluminure représentant le chevalier au cygne dans une marginalia d'un manuscrit de la 2e moitié du 13e siècle contenant les Miracles de Nostre Dame de Gautier de Coinci. Le manuscrit est conservé à la bibliothèque de Besançon (cote : manuscrit 551, folio 021v) À propos de cette miniature, J.-C. Schmitt, dans Le Moyen Age en lumière, p. 359, écrit : "Complètement étrangère aux "Miracles de Notre Dame" de Gautier de Coinci, cette scène marginale montre le Chevalier au cygne, figure éponyme d’un roman du "Cycle de la Croisade", déjà présente dans les "Continuations de Perceval", naviguant tout armé avec son cheval dans une barque que précède le cygne blanc. Il surprend, sur la partie droite du rinceau, un homme et une femme nus sur le point de s’embrasser. En même temps que la marge et le texte se rencontrent ici deux formes religieuse et profane de la littérature en langue vernaculaire." (source)
