Nederlands: Klooster Ter Apel is een voormalig klooster in het zuidoosten van de provincie Groningen bij het dorp Ter Apel. Tussen 1465 en 1561 werd gewerkt aan de bouw van het klooster, dat de naam kreeg 'Domus Novae Lucis' (Huis van het Nieuwe Licht). Stormen, brand en hoge onderhoudskosten zorgden voor grote problemen in de eeuwen na 1600. Het statige klooster onderging daardoor helaas veel aanpassingen tot 1930. In tegenstelling tot alle andere kloosters in Groningen, bleef gelukkig toch het nodige van Domus Novae Lucis overeind. En dat werd tussen 1930 en 1933 op initiatief van de Stad Groningen, destijds eigenaar van de enclave, zorgvuldig geconserveerd en gerestaureerd. Dit herstelplan werd uitgevoerd onder leiding van Stadsingenieur Cornelis Lodewijk de Vos tot Nederveen Cappel.
Sinds 1992 behoort Klooster Ter Apel tot de UNESCO "Top 100" van onroerende objecten in Nederland. Onder leiding van de Deense architect Johannes Exner werd medio 2000 begonnen met de bouw van de nieuwe westvleugel en uitvoering gegeven aan het restauratieplan van OVT architecten uit Groningen. In september 2001 werd het werk opgeleverd.
