Die Kirche von Klein Ziethen ist ein schlichter, spätgotischer, verputzter, rechteckiger Feldsteinbau. Vermutlich ist die Kirche im Kern mittelalterlich (13. Jahrhundert), wurde jedoch nach 1685 erneuert. Der quadratische Westturm aus Backstein stammt von 1880, als man auch das Innere umgestaltete. Im Dreißigjährigen Krieg wurde das Dorf 1637 zerstört und stand 1680 leer. Deshalb wurden 1686 11 Refugiés (Glaubensflüchtlinge) angesiedelt. Alle Siedler stammten aus einer Gegend (Dörfer bei Mons im Hennegau). Die Kirchengemeinden von Klein und Groß-Ziethen gehören bis heute zum Französisch-reformierten Kirchenkreis der Evangelischen Kirche in Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz.
