Beschrijving: Bronzen plastiekje op zwart marmeren voetstuk, een koorddanser voorstellend. Het mannetje met een evenwichtsstok is gemonteerd op een draaibaar stangetje. Demontabel.
Herkomst: Beeldje, in serie vervaardigd ter gelegenheid van de opening van het nieuwe bankgebouw van Mees Pierson aan de Coolsingel, september 1993; de voorstelling verzinnebeeldt de lijfspreuk van de familie Mees: 'waken en het midden houden'; tijdens de opening van het pand trad daadwerkelijk een koorddanser op.
