Description
Deutsch: Dieser Klöppel ist das Original der Glocke St. Michael. Mit 98 Ztr. die zweitschwerste der Diozöse von Trier und gilt als Gedenkglocke für die Gefallenen und Verstorbenen. 1954 Glockengießerei in Fraulautern. Der Klöppel mit einem Gewicht von 274 kg ist während des Sterbegeläuts für Papst Johannes Paul II., 2005 abgebrochen. Wie durch ein Wunder hat die Wucht des Aufschlages keinerlei Schäden verursacht. 2007 wurde ein neuer Klöppel von der Firma Saarschmiede GmbH - Freiformschmiede gestiftet. Zum Andenken hat der Geschichtskreis im Ortsinteressenverein Roden den Klöppel vor dem Schrottplatz bewahrt und hier befestigt.
