Description
Deutsch: Ev.-luth. St. Jakob Kirche in Nürnberg. Der Zwölfboten-Altar, bestehend aus drei reliefierten, zum Teil vergoldeten Figurengruppen vor blauem Hintergrund. Die Gruppe im Hauptschrein, wo die Apostel den in der Mitte durch den Nimbus hervorgehobenen Christus umgeben, und die Gruppe im linken Flügel zeichnen sich durch markante, ausdrucksvolle Gesichter aus: sie stammen aus dem ersten Viertel des 16. Jh. Die drei Apostel des rechten Flügels wurden um 1825 nachgeschnitzt. Die Gesichter sind deutlich ausdrucksloser, die Gewandführung einfacher.
