Description

This is Kings Norton Station. I decided to try out the Cross-City Line and went to Lichfield.

The modern station building dates to around 1978 when the line was opened.

Platform 1 for trains to Birmingham New Street and Lichfield City. Platform 4 for trains to Redditch.

Platform's 2 and 3 are derelict and are not currently in use (hope they get restored in the future and bring the Camp Hill Line back into use one day).

The train I caught to Lichfield - London Midland Class 323 - 323214

Journey to Lichfield took around an hour. Went all the way to Lichfield Trent Valley.
