English: Kesariya Stupa in Bihar is considered to be the largest and tallest Buddhist Stupa in the world. Construction started in the 3rd Century BC, during the reign of Ashoka. Further restoration / renovation / additions were carried out in the 4th century AD, during the Gupta reign.
